Frequently asked questions

Why is there a 3-hour minimum?

Two reasons:

  1. Setup matters. Our professional equipment takes time to calibrate properly—we adjust lighting, test prints, and ensure everything is perfect before your first guest arrives.
  2. Guests need time to warm up. In our experience, the photo booth really gets busy in hours 2-3 when guests are comfortable and having fun. Shorter bookings mean you miss the best moments.

Most clients find 3 hours is the sweet spot, but we offer 4-5 hour packages for larger events.

Are You Insured?

We are licensed and insured up to $1,000,000 and can provide a copy for your venue.

Do You Charge Travel Fees?

Travel includes within an hour or 40 miles from our available attendant / Metro DC and surrounding counties (outside triangle extra travel fee/lead time may apply).

Will an Attendant Be There the Whole Time?

Yes, we remain on-site from start to finish to ensure everything runs smoothly. As party professionals, we assist your guests throughout the event and recommend poses and props.

All of them! Whether you're celebrating a Sweet 16, Graduation, Wedding, Brand Launch, Work Christmas Party, Mother's Day, Baby Shower, 60th Birthday, you name it we can be there!

Which Print Outs Should I Get?

We offer two options - 2x6 and 4x6. 

The traditional 2x6 option is great for guestbooks. This can support up to 4 images. The smaller size allows for more photos per page and leaves room for handwritten messages. Plus it's easy for guests to store away their copy in a pocket, purse, or wallet. Best Uses: Parties, Weddings, Graduations, Quinceañeras, and any major celebration!


The Classy 4x6 option is larger and allows for more creativity when it comes to the design of the images, the logo, and the message. These pictures are made to be framed. This can support up to 5 images. However, using fewer images will allow more space for larger ones. Best Uses: Trade Shows, Grand Openings, Business Anniversaries, Weddings. However, this works for any kind of event!

Is it necessary to have a photo booth if I hire a photographer?

It all boils down to the fact that photographers and photo booths serve different variations of the same purpose. Having a photo booth at your celebration is a major attraction for guests because it’s fun and photographers have a tendency to focus on the host/couple and close family and they swiftly move in and out of crowds to get candid shots. The booth creates a fun and exciting atmosphere of laughter that will fill the event. It is something that will keep them entertained and talking about your event for quite some time. And when they forget, they’ll look back on the keepsakes to remember it all over again!

What kind of props are provided?

We offer high-quality, themed premium props and stylish glasses as an optional add-on to customize your photo booth experience. This way, you can choose exactly the props that best fit your event’s style and your guests’ preferences. Some clients prefer a classic photo booth experience without props, so offering them as an add-on gives you flexibility and ensures every prop is well-maintained and fresh for your event.

How much space do you need?

Our photo booth needs an 8x10 space and is 9' in height. If the ceiling height is less than 9 feet, we can still accommodate, but we are a little bit more limited on our backdrop options.

How many hours should I rent?

For formal events such as weddings, Sweet 16, and Quinceañeras, we recommend a minimum of 4 hours of rental time. This duration has proven optimal, allowing guests to visit between dances, meals, and mingling. For other events, a good rule of thumb to follow is for 50+ guests, 3 hours of rental time, 100+ guests, 4 hours, and 150+, 5 hours of rental time.

What's the difference between your booths and the cheaper options I'm seeing?

Great question—and it matters more than you think.

Budget booths ($400-$700) use iPad or tablet cameras. The photos look fine on a small screen, but when printed, they're often blurry, poorly lit, or washed out. Many are "drop-off" services (no attendant), which means if something goes wrong, you're on your own.

Our professional booths ($1,200-$1,800) use 24 MP DSLR cameras. You get sharp, vibrant, properly-lit photos that look like they came from a professional portrait studio.

Think of it this way: Would you hire a wedding photographer who shoots on an iPad? Probably not. Your photo booth should meet the same standard.

The price difference pays for itself when your guests actually keep and frame their photos instead of tossing them.

Do I really need an attendant, or can you just drop it off?

You absolutely need an attendant—and here's why:

Without someone managing the booth:

  • Props get messy and disorganized
  • Printer jams go unnoticed
  • Shy guests don't know how to start
  • Camera settings can malfunction (unlike simple iPads, DSLR cameras have complex settings that require trained troubleshooting)
  • Technical issues can shut down the whole experience

Our attendants:

  • Keep props organized and clean
  • Coach guests into great poses
  • Diagnose and fix camera/lighting issues immediately
  • Encourage shy guests to jump in
  • Make sure everyone gets their moment

Real example: At Emily White's wedding (86 guests), our attendant helped them capture 220+ photos. That doesn't happen with an unattended booth.
